Self-determination requires flexibility and courage. Nurture your inner strength through self-care practices like exercise, eating healthy, and getting quality sleep. Additionally, challenge yourself physically and mentally, step outside your comfort zone and build grit through facing challenges that are above your head. Theodore Roosevelt stated, “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming.”
